Kelsey: Fashion, Fame & Fotos

My gorgeous girlfriend Kelsey is in fashion, and i'm (clearly) in photography. This is a great match of spirit and of skill, so when it comes to having fun with our work, I can't figure out who has it better.

Kelsey is just so beautiful and I love photographing her. She likes dressing up and she loves it all the more when i'm around to capture it. The result is always fun. We on to a good thing here? I think so.

When there's nothing else going we're prone to the casual photo shoot, finding some space around where I live in East London to make a picture or two. Its always about the clothes of course, which is an admittedly unusual focus for me but Kelsey knows what she's doing in that department, so I just concentrate on getting the frames.

She will be the first one to say i'm not doing my job properly, prompting me to delete 7 out of 10 as she disagrees with her posture or the angle of a shoe or how she doesn't like the shape of her arms. Its a pity because of course I can't see anything wrong with her in any picture, beautiful as she is (cute/barf, delete as appropriate).

Kelsey likes to put the results on her increasingly popular Instagram feed and also Lookbook, and its great to see such positive responses. I'm not exactly shooting for Vogue so I know the attention is more for her great style choices than my pictures, but whichever way its a great experience to work with the one you love, even just for fun.

After a few occasional shoots during June I put our favourites together to form a banner, complete with her contact info, ready to lead her branded business stationery:

Kelsey now uses this striking graphic for her letter headed paper, her business cards, and I also put it atop her CV (sorry, resume, as she would say). Just like the girl herself, Kelsey's shop front now looks amazingly colourful and attractive!

Effective photography suggests learning another methodology or strategy so why put forth an attempt not to execute something you have basically learnt and see how it turns out. Treat it as an errand or undertaking. Better regardless of everything evaluate a free online course or buy a book with assignments around the completion of each part. Use these assignments as the reason of your photo shoot.and set up as a standard event your new data.
